- Developed novel statistical algorithms for network analyses and pathway enrichment of high-throughput data- Created a Bioconductor software package for pathway analysis, named PathNet, which has a large user base. - Applied systems biology approaches to identify novel biomarkers from omics data and biological knowledgebase

- Developed algorithm and software for overlaying genomic and transcriptomic data on networks to identify pathways that are significantly deregulated in different breast cancer subtypes. - Analyzed data from siRNA screens from multiple laboratories to identify genes that induce simple and synthetic lethality with chemotherapeutic drugs in breast and ovarian cancer cell lines. Identified an unknown gene that could lead to autophagic cell death in breast cancer cell lines.- Reconstructed signaling network from combined siRNA screen and functional proteomic data and analyzed the properties of the network.
