About Brian Hedstrom

Brian Hedstrom is the Founder and Principal of OAM Technology Consulting and a prior Co-founder of Cataworx, a business-to-business (B2B) Software-as-as-Service (SaaS) telecom startup. He has 25 years of experience in the communications industry and has held technical leadership roles with research and development firms and global working groups within communications standards bodies. His areas of expertise include software and system architecture and design, software defined networking and network function virtualization, interface and data modeling design and implementation, network management protocols, information modeling and design, business process modeling and automation, communication protocols and standards organizations, DOCSIS OSSI and cable network management, and entrepreneurship.Prior to founding OAM and later co-founding Cataworx, Hedstrom held architecture and technical roles at CableLabs, Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), and Carrier Access (now part of Dell) for Business and Operational Support Systems.
