• Experience in maintaining client relationships, delivering and presenting consulting results.• Responsible for reviewing work and managing teams to complete work related to Defined Benefit Plans, including year-end disclosure and fiscal-year expense reports, annual AFTAP and actuarial funding under ERISA and PPA, filing Form 5500, including Schedule SB, filing Form 8955-SSA, nondiscrimination testing, projection studies, employee benefit statements and stochastic asset liability modeling.• Responsible for training, development and management of several associates.• Experience with Defined Benefit Plans, including Cash Balance and small Defined Benefit Plans, and Post-retirement Medical Plans.• Extensive experience with Defined Benefit Plan funding and accounting rules under PPA and FASB ASC 715, including accounting for special events like curtailments, settlements and special termination benefits.• Experience with Defined Benefit Plan administration, including benefit calculations and QDRO calculations and determinations.• Experience with Defined Benefit Plan due diligence work related to potential merger and acquisition.• Experience with non-qualified retirement plans, including early inclusion of FICA tax, executive total compensation statements and calculation of year-end disclosure and fiscal-year expense results.• Experience with Defined Benefit Plan design and plan termination projects.• Involved in risk mitigation of Defined Benefit Plans through static and dynamic asset allocations and liability management strategies.• Experience with assumption setting for measuring Defined Benefit Plan liabilities and results through experience studies.• Experience converting Defined Benefit and Post-retirement Medical Plans from one valuation system to another.• Led new business initiatives including developing relationships with prospects, identifying Defined Benefit Plan opportunities, and meeting with prospects to present findings.
