Responsible for all daily computer hardware and software operations of 148,000 sq. ft. main library, 10,000 sq. ft. branch and 4,300 sq. ft. branch. Manage staff of 6 staff in the support of over 390 workstations, 50 servers and associated equipment.Major Accomplishments Include:• Provided all technical direction for two new branch library locations and configuration of all mobile technologies for a Bookmobile. Implemented all networking LAN/WAN technologies, servers, workstations, security hardware / software and A/V systems. • Integrated Microsoft Office 365 across all staff lines of business, including the migration of email from hosted Rackspace to Microsoft. Standardized public workstations on Microsoft Office 2019.• Replaced outdated analog / digital phone system with to Mitel Connect. This involved setting all QOS on switches, as well as setting up separate VLAN for voice traffic.• Migrated from legacy Server 2003 Native Active Directory domain to more robust Server 2016 Native Mode Active Directory domain. This included re-subnetting the entire network to break into a distinct VLAN structure. Currently working on upgrading to Server 2019.• Developed an extensive 3-5 year Operational IT Plan to replace legacy servers, switches, workstations and core infrastructure equipment. Replaced core switches to provide redundancy and fault tolerance. Completed Capital Assessment plan to project equipment needing replacement over the next 20 years.• Replaced legacy Cisco ASA 5510 firewalls with Meraki firewalls to provide fault tolerance and load-balancing. Implemented VPN solution with Meraki.• Drafted IT Department policies, including Information Security Standards, Acceptable Use Policy, Change Management Policy, Contingency Planning and Disaster Recovery, Bring Your Own Device, Social Media Policy, Mobile Computing and Service Level Agreement.• Speaker at National Facilities and Management Technology (NFMT) Conference in 2018.
