Working in the service planning team to develop short-term responses to line possessions, on behalf of the business. These plans must be attractive to our customers, but also operationally deliverable.This role requires excellent problem solving skills, in addition to a keen eye for detail.Responsibilities include:- Providing reliable and coherent short-term service plans, which take into account infrastructure constraints as well as the resourcing capabilities of the business.- Using planning software to aid in the visualisation and distribution of these plans.- Ensuring business resources are used in an efficient and appropriate manner.- Working to Informed Traveller timescales to ensure customers are aware of changes to their journey well in advance of their travel date.- Liaising with other parts of the service planning team, and other areas of the business, so that we are well prepared for any changes which are likely to have a substantial impact on our customers' journeys.- Making rail an attractive way to travel, even in times of disruption.- Communicating with planning colleagues at other operators, to mitigate as much as possible the impact on customers’ journeys during planned disruption.

These were fast-paced and pressurised, and required fast learning of school uniform product lines, to ensure that each customer was sold the correct garments.
