About Sumit Bhowmick
I am currently with P&G Singapore; collaborating daily with a talented and diverse group of individuals to manage product supply & business planning for the Thailand, Myanmar & Laos region in the haircare products category for APAC. Along with that, I also oversee delivery of our APAC inventory & cash targets for Enterprise regions. We produce and deliver products for some of the world’s biggest haircare brands in Head & Shoulders, Pantene, Rejoice and Herbal Essences, serving markets across the APAC region. Our work encompasses E2E supply chain management & design; working with the manufacturing plants, initiative leaders, material suppliers and global distribution teams. For our markets, we look at building and sustaining E2E business & operating strategy on how to deliver best-in-class service results, cash delivery and cost reductions in the supply chain. In my previous role at P&G, I led a team of supply planning analysts to serve the entire APAC region in service and cash delivery. What I was most proud of my achievements here, was the challenge to contibute and lead the team successfully through the peak of the Covid-19 crisis when supply chains across the world were at their worst impacted. I am a big advocate for the use of data and analysis in making critical decisions and to also digitise and simplify my work daily. This allows me time to focus on important long-term projects to deliver more supply chain excellence, something I am always passionate about. When I am not crushing it at work, I enjoy travelling and playing sports. In particular, I am an avid football fan and love kicking it about with my friends or work mates.
