In my role as a Software Developer, I played a role in migrating reports from MicroStrategy (MSTR) to Power BI (PBI), ensuring the accurate replication and functionality of the reports. I began by analyzing both MSTR and PBI reports to identify necessary changes and engaged closely with clients to gather detailed requirements. My responsibilities included importing data into Power BI using Direct Query mode to enable efficient, real-time data access and applying effective data modeling techniques to structure and organize the data.I successfully recreated complex reports in Power BI to mirror the original MSTR reports, addressing performance challenges and ensuring visual accuracy. To enhance performance, I implemented dynamic parameters in M queries for targeted data retrieval and transitioned dimension tables from Direct Query to Import mode during report refreshes.Throughout the project, I collaborated with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and stakeholders, to ensure that the reports met business needs and provided actionable insights. I conducted comprehensive unit testing to validate the accuracy and functionality of the reports. Additionally, I managed the publishing of reports to Power BI Service, overseeing gateway access and coordinating with business users and vendors to ensure secure and timely delivery.

As a Software Engineer, I was involved in ETL support and AWS integration. For ETL support, I was responsible for managing data pipelines to ensure data flowed smoothly from source to destination. This included creating and maintaining ad hoc graphs to quickly address any data issues that came up. I also scheduled and monitored batch jobs using Autosys, which was essential for keeping data processing efficient and timely. Handling production support and resolving issues was a big part of my role, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and on schedule.On the AWS side, I was responsible for setting up and managing various AWS services to support our projects. This involved configuring EC2 instances, setting up S3 buckets, and overseeing the migration of data from Ab Initio to AWS. I also provided thorough support and documentation to help with the transition of these AWS environments to the operations team. Working closely with business clients, I made sure our AWS solutions were tailored to their needs and met their requirements.I also led daily stand-up meetings to keep the team organized and address any issues that arose. I focused on troubleshooting data quality problems through root cause analysis and made sure that code was tested thoroughly to meet the necessary standards.
