I am responsible for day-to-day operations of the Bethlehem, PA Intermodal terminal, a growing operation, even during a historic freight recession. I am responsible for $1.2+ million worth of freight, monthly, ensuring all available capacity is used to meet needs of our customers, both internal and external. With a service-first mindset, I ensure that our team of managers, drivers, contractors, and internal partners know that our customers needs come first, and all that no ask is impossible.In addition to these responsibilities, I:- Manage partnerships with outside carriers and nearby operations to ensure capacity remains available and utilized.- Adapted around highly volatile freight rail service to ensure customer needs are met.- Strengthened relationships with nearby operations, building interdependence to better utilized fixed assets and reduce costs stemming from traditional modus operandi.- Built strong relationships with drivers to ensure they have the confidence to safely deliver and pick up loads from customers all throughout our service area.- Expanded traditional service offerings to internal and external customers, utilizing excess capacity to provide more value for customers and reducing costs by reducing outsource costs.- Train other members of management on new company technology initiatives to ensure we remain on the cutting edge of the industry.

I directly managed a team of a team between 30 and 35 drivers and 18-20 independent contratcors. I focus on maintaining effective and on time service for our customers as well am responsible for payroll, safety and scheduling. In addition to these duties, I am responsible for:- Managing onboarding for all new company drivers from early contact through training, as well as post-training compliance responsibilities. - Developing and leading continuing safety training lessons to keep drivers aware of dangers before they present themselves.- Managing our growing fleet of 18 independent contractors, all of whom have individual needs and requirements, as well as compliance requirements outside the normal scope of company drivers.- Leading new initiatives including introducing, testing, launching, and feature rollouts for internal technology products.
