I began my career in the dynamic Telco field as a Java Junior Developer, working within an Agile team at Alcatel-Lucent. In this role, I contributed to the development of a Java-based application with a web-based administration interface, gaining exposure to essential tools and technologies such as Eclipse, SVN, and Hudson.Driven by a passion for quality assurance and testing, I transitioned to a Testing and QA role within the same company after nearly a year. This shift allowed me to explore a diverse range of testing methodologies, including both manual and automated testing. Over time, I honed my expertise in provisioning and activation tools, becoming an authority on Comptel FlowOne, AMS, and Service Resource Inventory, as well as Alcatel's internal network management and monitoring tools like SAM and NFM-P.A significant milestone in my journey was leading test automation using Tricentis TOSCA for NBN Co Australia, one of the telecom industry's major players. I spearheaded the development of a robust test automation framework from scratch, enabling the automation of regression tests and the entire provisioning chain, encompassing GUI automation, web service automation, and database checks.My career trajectory further evolved as I embraced the role of a Nokia Test Engineer, collaborating closely with one of Nokia's prominent customers, the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). Initially tasked with testing provisioning workflows and Service Resource Inventory (SRI) components, I also delved into verifying configurations during network provisioning, gaining valuable insights into IP-MPLS networking concepts as we migrated from CISCO to Nokia networks.Between June 2019 and December 2021, I had the privilege of working directly on-site with our customer, taking on responsibilities that spanned test activity coordination, operational support, the design of innovative test cases and software requirements, as well as test execution within customer test environments, UAT, and E2E testing. During this period, I leveraged a wide range of tools and technologies, including TAF (Test Automation Framework), FlowOne, NFM-P, IP-MPLS, and key project management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.My mission was to ensure seamless collaboration between the Nokia and SBB testing teams, working harmoniously as one unit to uphold the highest standards of quality in our delivered features. My responsibilities also encompass the strategic definition of suitable test strategies to meet our customer's evolving needs.
