Pilot Aviation English was created by professionals in both the aviation and language learning field. Unlike other online and classroom English courses, we focus our lessons on providing students with aviation knowledge while also teaching them the English language.I recognized this unique market opportunity when I realized the limited aviation instruction and scarce competition in this field: no one was addressing the struggle of International Pilots in meeting ICAO requirements because of poor communication skills. I created and launched this online product to teach aviation-specific terminology in English to aspiring international pilots. online course. No matter where an aspiring student or aviation professional resides, they now have the ability to improve their communication skills and better their aviation career.I started by targeted my online marketing efforts to a focused set of countries identified as the highest potential for customers - considering statistics of pilot shortages and lack of technical aviation English programs available in that country. I designed the curriculum and online courses from scratch using Adobe Captivate, and implemented the course via GoToMeeting and WizIQ, making this education course available globally.As Director of Operations, I supervise a staff of 18 including 2 flight instructors, 11 translators, 2 web developers and 3 TEFL teachers.I also negotiate with vendors and establish distribution solutions to existing flight schools and universities.We have graduated 74 students and are currently training 18, since the course launch in September 2014.

I provided systematic advisement and problem-solving ideas specific to aircraft hydraulic systems for a fleet of twenty-one F-15s by testing and repairing jet engines and other aircraft parts. In other words, I was part of a team that kept these engines running. Using my extensive knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering concepts, I advised on issues in maintaining, servicing, and inspecting aircraft hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems and components. I interpreted technical data to diagnose and solve maintenance problems, and utilized technical publications to determine maintenance procedures and performance characteristics. My leadership and responsibilities significantly increased as I moved up in rank.As a Staff Sergeant (SSgt), it was my duty to be technically proficient, functioning as first-line supervisors within my shop. After being selected for promotion, I completed Airman Leadership School, where I learned to developed my leadership skills and how to write performance reports to become Staff Sergeant.
