Adjunct faculty teaching Undergraduate Psychology

I serve as an active DE&I consultant on various corporate projects. In this role Iprovide direct feedback and support to executive teams and in-house working groups on DE&I initiatives. I specialize in providing support related to Queer issues, although I do provide support on a wide range of topics.

I currently provide psychotherapy treatment to individuals 18 years and older, and couples. I practice with an eclectic approach rooted in Constructivism and believe fundamentally in the Client's ability to facilitate change within their own lives.

During my time as a clinical intern, I carried a caseload of 15-20 individuals and provided a myriad of different therapies based on client needs. In addition, I participated in consultation and referral services, as well as clinic meetings. Further, I worked to implement and co-facilitate therapy groups for LGBTQ+ youth and adults in the community, serving as the first and only local resource for this population. As part of this group implementation I engaged with the community through outreach and education for local schools about LGBQ+ related issues.

I worked with the first-year cohort of counseling students during their foundational counseling courses to provide individualized feedback and support on their practice counseling sessions. In doing so, I encouraged students to examine their sessions critically and begin to investigate areas of strength and growth, as well as set goals for future sessions.

In this role, I provided direct support to the Director of Orientation Programs, assisting in the planning and implementation of summer orientation sessions. Further, I was the direct supervisor for our two Orientation Coordinators and assisted them in their supervision of twelve orientation leaders. Additionally, I worked with numerous offices across campus to facilitate training sessions for the orientation leaders, as well as for new student orientation sessions.

During my practicum, I completed rotations at both the PROS program and the clinic. During these rotations, I assisted in the facilitation of psycho-education groups, individual counseling sessions and psychological assessment of clients.

I worked with various offices across campus to provide administrative support.

I provided tours for perspective students and their families, and assisted in the production of accepted student days and large open-house events.In my last year as a tour guide, I worked with admissions staff to interview, hire and train new guides and served as a lead tour guide for open house events.

I worked with the Office of Residence Life to ensure the safety and security of the residence hall to which I was assigned. I worked with my staff members to plan and implement events based on trend data for our buildings. Additionally, I effectively handled conflict and crisis situations during on-call hours.
