I know what grief is; I was 16 when my 20-year-old brother died, and 26 when my 49-year-old mum died. As a young person grieving, I experienced first hand the lack of education and resources available to support young people through #death and #grief. As a result of my journey with grief, I have designed a way to help other young people(16+).LightsOut has been developed to open up the conversation about death and grief, using evidence based personal development tools, told through the lens of my Lived Experience. When young people are taught how to talk about death and experience grief, they are given the tools to be #resilient, #thoughtful, and better #prepared to handle death when it comes their way.My vision is to make death an #accepted and discussed part of life, where grief is #embraced and understood.
