Senior Paralegal
CurrentConduct new client interviews/intakes for all categories of personal injury, obtaining pertinent details for each potential claim; scheduling appointments for evaluation and treatment; as well as the opening and closing of cases, to include digital and paper files• Liaise and initiate the first contact along with continual contact between the firm and clients (new and current), insurance companies, defense attorneys, lien holders (federal, state and private); as well as constant communication with lead attorney and paralegals.• Consistent and timely communication with all stakeholders including finalizing and sending correspondence, responding to phone calls and other means of communication.• Documentation of all tasks completed and saving documents to the main database for firm access and review. • Assisting with process of determining liability for each claim and progressing claims to a successful settlement and/or monetary award trials.• Maintaining thorough knowledge of each client’s claim and creating task lists for each case.• Task assignments to legal assistants and interns to create continual progression for each claim.• Request and order all medical records, itemized billing and liens; through digital portals and paper formats; to include all 50 states and multiple countries.• Negotiation of reductions of medical bills and liens.• Request, review and document law enforcement reports, body worn camera footage,MPIA, along with notification to establishments and all municipalities.• Preparation of demands, settlement memorandums, complaints, and other litigationdocuments.• Payment and documentation of all expenses, ensuring all related providers receivepayment for services rendered.
