I'm driven by a passion for adventure and a desire to positively impact the world. My wanderlust led me to leave my home country and explore the world. Through my work and travels, I observed the inequalities in the tourism industry and felt a strong desire to contribute to more equality.My love for the desert and admiration for the Bedouin people led me to Wadi Rum. I've built a deep connection with this community and understand their challenges. My goal is to help the Bedouin people share the beauty of the desert and their culture with travelers while ensuring that both travelers and locals benefit from this experience.As a co-owner of Wadi Rum Nomads, I serve as a bridge between Bedouins and travelers. I seamlessly connect the two worlds with my background in tourism education, diverse work experience in tourism and marketing, extensive travel experience, and a deep understanding of both cultures. Over the past ten years, we have built a reputable company where our team enjoys their work, and travelers have a fantastic experience. I am proud that Wadi Rum Nomads is an independent company that does not share its profits with (online) travel agencies. Instead, all the profits go to the local people.My responsibilities include managing the company’s online presence, communicating with travelers, and welcoming them upon arrival. My cultural awareness allows me to serve Bedouins and travelers effectively, fostering meaningful connections based on mutual respect and celebrating our differences. The greatest compliment I've received is being considered a sister by the Bedouin community and inspiring travelers to pursue their dreams.In my spare time, I find peace and rejuvenation in the desert. I enjoy exploring the landscape and observing wildlife. When I'm not in the desert, I love to read, watch, and listen with the aim of learning. As Aristotle said, “The more you learn, the more you realize how little you know.” I have many interests and enjoy diving deep into any topic. My guilty pleasure is watching TV, from news and documentaries to movies and anything in between.
