I attended four weekly lectures and led two sessions to reinforce material to 40 students. In order to combine teaching styles after surveying students, I created slides, wrote weekly practice questions, and facilitated group collaboration. I motivated students to feel free to openly discuss ideas, ask questions and make mistakes which led to a positive learning environment. I was chosen as a Distance Learning Teacher and continued teaching working adults who are taking Biochemistry separate from the undergraduate institution.

In a NASA-funded lab studying crew health on space flights, I work closely with a doctoral student investigating how individual sensory biases predict locomotor adaptation to a visual sensory perturbation. The goal is to utilize noninvasive brain stimulation to enhance sensory integration with discordant feedback to improve adaptation. I have learned the process of obstacle course design, applying motion sensors to gather data, and guiding participants through the course. In another project, I analyze fMRI data from 15 astronauts pre- and post-flight, studying dual-task impairment after flight. I use Matlab's SPM software, which has taught me coding and data analysis in research.

DM at UF is the largest student-run and highest fundraising philanthropy in the Southeast United States. I was chosen to assume more responsibility, as I progressed from a fundraiser to an Emerging Leader and now a Productions Captain. I have raised over $3,000 and played an active role in leveraging social media by sharing my templates and ideas with the team. Our team organizes 10+ events each year and the 26.2 hour long Main Event that caters to over 2,000 guests. Our team coordinated 500+ internal members during the set up and strike of these events. I ensured the safety of guests by familiarizing myself with the 10,500-seat arena and meticulously arranging pipes and drapes to guide guests.
