Change the role from Supplier Performance Management to Strategic Sourcing, in charge of NPI Sourcing

With great improvements on supplier DPPM contribution, 2014.9 I have been promoted to “Supplier Performance Leader-CHDU site” to lead CHDU SQE team (2 engineers), direct retort to Asian supplier performance manager. 2nd phase: supplier chain development, integration and rationalization, key accountabilities • Monitor, improve, develop and certify supplier performance in terms of delivered Quality, supplier scrap reduction and yield improvements, service and cost• Coordinate standardization of and compliance to SPM-related processes• Drive supplier technology roadmaps, risk mitigation, audit schedules, local market, rationalization and development plans• Participate and actively contribute in cross-functional and multi-site team, 6-sigma projects, internal and external audits, annual management reviewThe main achievement in this phase was 1) Leadership and team building• Set up the working standardization for CHDU SQE function, including- Supplier qualification, approval & change processes; - Management approach (daily, monthly, quarterly, yearly);- Scorecard playbook (KPI program) & audit checklist;- Strategic development plan (“Improve” “Eliminate” “Maintain”, or “allocation”); • Created an applicable management methodology for SQE team member, focus on - Problem follow up & solving skills (ownership, fast responsibility tracking);- Project management skills (Pareto principle, DMAIC, timelines) - Communication & negotiation skills(service senses, characters switch, twin-track ap-proach, Win-win rule) 2) Good supplier performance trend • Over 90% active vendors have achieved zero defects for three consecutive years;• 0 finding to supply chain during ISO13485, ISO/TS16949 certification audits & FDA audit in 2016. 3) The Supply Chain Excellence Award• Actively leading multifarious kaizen projects to supply chain and got significant cost productivities, total saving > 500,000 RMB, received supplier chain excellence award nomination in 2016.

MEAS group is a global enterprise with more than 20 factories/offices in the world, CHDU site is just a subsidiary and SHZH site as Asia Pacific headquarters of MEAS group; I joined MEAS as SQE role serviced for CHDU factory, which directly report to global sourcing team. 1st phase: 2011.9 - 2014.9 supplier performance analysis, improvement and management.
