For the past 10 years, I have been looking for my ikigai (生き甲斐), the Japanese concept for purpose meets happiness. Being a nerd that loves anime and games, I dreamed about working in tech (probably from playing too many games), but instead, I was nudged to pursue Law. Fast forward 3 years in, I dropped out and moved to Canada, following my heart into the magic world of computers. Throughout my career, I have worked across several domains in the tech industry, from project management to software development. Lately, I've been secretly dabbling in entrepreneurship on the side, I wanted to experience what the grind is like and it has been a fun ride so far.In my free time, I love organizing events for the tech community and volunteering at conferences. I took a lot from the universe, and I am giving back with the intention to contribute tenfold. One of the ways I like to give back is by mentoring, I was lucky enough to have fantastic mentors around me that propelled me upward when I wanted to give up.
