As a GA, I have filled several roles. I have served as a grader for courses in early American history, I have worked on organizing and maintaining digital history exhibits on platforms like Omeka. I have also been fortunate to be a teaching assistant and part-time lecturer on statistics, polling, and GIS for the Data in Social Context course, which brings together engineers, social scientists, and historians to explore the past and present of data gathering, usage, ethics, and consequences.Outside of my direct assistantship responsibilities, I have been able to stay involved in faculty development and student government. I led a "Python for Digital Humanities" workshop for faculty members in spring 2018. Since April 2018, I have been Vice President of the History Graduate Student Association, and my fellow officers and I have been responsible for organizing the Brian Bertoti Innovative Perspectives in History Graduate Conference (March 29-30, 2019).Additionally, I have worked on collecting, formatting, and organizing data and creating and organizing shapefiles for the American Panorama Project's "Electing the House of Representatives."
