Human And Organizational Factors Analyst
The Human and Organizational Performance Division (HOPD) supports the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission's mission and mandate by providing regulatory leadership and expertise in: human factors, human performance, and organizational performance.Working with the other Branches of the CNSC, HOPD provides specialist input to planning, implementation, and evaluation of regulatory programs and licensee performance within the Canadian nuclear industry. HOPD’s program focuses on: participating in the development of regulations and regulatory documents and guides, developing and maintaining license conditions, providing licensing assessments and recommendations, and promoting, monitoring, and enforcing licensee compliance within the Division’s areas of expertise. Within its mandate the division maintains its expertise, and shares scientific and technical information and experience with stakeholders in Canada and in other countries.The primary technical review areas, in which HOPD leads and integrates input from other Divisions, are as follows: •Human Performance Programs; •Human Factors in Design; •Human Actions in Safety Analysis; •Procedures (specifically development, usability and adherence); •Work Organization and Job Design (staffing and minimum shift complement); •Fitness for Duty (including fatigue management); •Organizational Performance; and •Performance Monitoring and Improvement
