The responsibilities in this role mainly include coordinating activities of 211 Check, a flagship project of #defyhatenow South Sudan.

Associate Editor: Partnership and Community Engagement● Sit in for the Managing Editor during his absence, either when on annual/sick leave or any other absence● Manage DHN/Facebook Trusted Partner project; under this project, he will engage in the following:-- Daily reporting of misinformation content spotted on Facebook.- Writing of DHN/Facebook monthly reports under the project.- Carrying out or conducting DHN/Facebook planned trainings.- Attending DHN/Facebook [donor] meetings or administrative demands in atimely manner.● Guide fellows on daily fact-checking to provide accuratestories in collaboration with the Managing Editor through managing AFF& South Sudan Fact checkers WhatsApp groups.● Managing 211 Check website and social media platforms, by posting stories and promoting 211 Check accurate fact checking brand making sure the content is timely and accurately written, in order to avoid demanding the image of the organization.● Guide fellows in early planning, gathering & writing of social media health and monitoring reports.● Guide fellows in order to conduct meet-ups as part of their fellowship . In regard to this assignment, the Associate Managing editor will follow up receipts from a fellow & present them to #defyhatenow Finance Department for reporting.● Implement Meedan project activities; by following work plan, monitor the activities and help in the drafting of monthly reports.● Work with the DHN Program Officer to finalize the completion of some activities under various projects. They include trainings and webinars, where he is expected to take part in the writing of those activities reports.● Attend radio talk shows aimed at educating the public on the vision and mission of 211 Check and #defyhatenow.● Train & guide States fact checkers who will be assigned to produce fact-checking stories.● The Associate Managing editor will also be tasked to do other duties in the absence of the managing editor
