My name is Bidhya Malla Shrestha. Since my early days of college, I have been interested in pursuing my career in accounting and financial management. I was a keen learner of new ways and techniques to solve the problems that may arise in accounting and finance and still to this date, I am no different. I opted to join management stream after I finished my schooling to learn the theoretical aspects of it. Seven years of college education until I finished my master’s degree majoring in finance have certainly helped me know the integral parts and technical know hows of accounting and financial management. This has eventually boosted my confidence to start journey in professional arena. I started my professional career 13 years back as an Account cum Administrative Officer. During these years of my career, I have come across many situations where I had to stretch my knowledge and wisdom to turn unfavorable conditions into favorable ones. This was possible only because of my sheer interest and dedication towards my job and perseverance. I also had the opportunities to strengthen my skills by enrolling in different training programs. Participation in training programs and seminars has enabled me to improve my efficiency and competence that is highly required in the current context of professional competition. My current designation is Senior Accountant in which I directly report to the chief accountant and finance controller has even helped me perform under pressure and also learn from their experience at the same time. Over the period of my professional commitment, I have been able to perform and execute the responsibilities up to the expectations if not more of my supervisors. In every person’s life there comes a point where he/she will have to look for personal and professional improvement and take up the challenges accordingly. When one has the confidence and experience to his/her credit, the obstacles and challenges turn into opportunities to prove oneself. I too at this juncture of my life and career want to find a way to excel and prove myself once again. I believe with my skills and experience I can look only for betterment hereon.
