As Head of Cyber Security Services at Nomios (formerly Infradata), my primary responsibility was to equip our customers with proper defenses against cyber threats. I've realized the transformation of the Nomios SOC service into a best-in-class Managed Detection & Response service. In my leadership role, I was involved in guiding our team and refining our processes and technology. I ensure that our team is not only well-trained but also fully equipped with the necessary tools and resources to effectively detect and respond to cyber threats.A key aspect of my role involved engaging with the (pre)sales teams and shaping our go-to-market strategies. I worked closely with these teams to understand market needs and customer expectations, ensuring that our security solutions align with the evolving demands of the cybersecurity market. This collaboration was essential for developing and positioning our services in a way that resonates with both current and potential customers.I genuinely enjoyed regular conversations with customers about their security strategies. As Product Manager, I was responsible for overseeing Fox-IT’s managed fraud detection and response services. In this role, I collaborated with a diverse group of stakeholders, including business, customers, marketing, sales, analysts, and software development, to develop a product strategy, create roadmaps, and design product features.I also organized marketing events, such as user groups and roundtables, and served as a keynote speaker at several cybercrime conferences. My primary focus was on ensuring that our fraud detection and response services were meeting the needs of both our customers and internal users, and staying up-to-date on the latest threats and trends in the industry.

As manager of the analysis team, I was responsible for coaching team members, managing priorities and tasks, optimizing workflows and processes, and representing the internal customer as a stakeholder. In addition, I was a member of the management team of the business unit. My goal was to ensure that the Fraud Analysis team was operating efficiently and effectively, and delivering high-quality results to our customers.I also played a key role in leading complex in-depth investigations, using my hands-on experience to uncover and analyze complex threats. My experience and skills in this area helped me to effectively guide and support the team in our efforts to protect our customers from cyber threats.

I started my career at Fox-IT as a junior analyst and progressed to a senior analyst with increasing responsibilities. In my role, I was responsible for investigating phishing, malware, and social engineering attacks on online channels, creating anomaly detection rules in a real-time detection engine, and investigating intelligence and turning it into actionable information for detection.I also supported customers with investigations and provided training to fraud analysts and rule writers at financial institutions. Throughout my journey, I developed a strong set of skills and expertise in the areas of cyber security and fraud detection.

During my studies in Computer Science at TU Delft, I completed a 4-month full-time internship at the Crypto department of Fox-IT. The project was successful and received a grade of 9 out of 10.Upon completion of the internship, I was offered a job at Fox-IT. This opportunity allowed me to transition from a student to a professional in the cyber security industry and set me on the path of my further career.
