For over two decades, I have used and developed software to consume, store, manage and present data. I am competent in a variety of development technologies from a range of vendors. Even when I am working with a technology for the first time, I am able to become competent in a short time with no or little formal training. Most of my experience is in the Microsoft ecosystem, but I also have competency in Unix and open-source technologies. I am also entering the realm of cloud computing. The bulk of my experience is in data-driven applications for business. I develop for the desktop and the Web. I am a "three-tier" developer, focusing on data storage and retrieval, business logic, and front-ends.I have worked with employers and clients in these industries and sectors: Education; Entertainment & Hospitality; Government; Healthcare; Manufacturing; Oil & Gas; Risk Management; Transportation.I am a creative thinker and savor the opportunity to solve problems. I also enjoy using that creativity to come up with new ideas and bringing them to fruition. I can work both as the member of a team and as the primary developer on a project. I eagerly take ownership of the projects that I work on, and I assess my success based on the successful development and deployment of my projects.
