My dedication and attention to detail has led to the publication of over 50 books, including renowned brewery guides and the chronicle of the German Brewers' Association.My heart beats for innovation and education, which led to the founding of the German Beer Academy in 2013 - a milestone that earned me the "Golden Beer Idea 2015" award. The "Walk of Beer" in Forchheim, another idea of mine that was honoured with the Golden Beer Idea (2019), is also a great pleasure for me. In 2023, I was given the honour of becoming an honorary knight in the Brotherhood of Belgian Brewers.As a beer, brandy and cheese sommelier with extensive jury experience in almost all international competitions, member of the British and North American Guild of Beer Writers and holder of the Bamberg Beer Order, I am committed to quality and diversity in the beer market. My commitment to beer culture is further strengthened by my roles as a board member of Bierland Oberfranken, Chairman of the Association of Bavarian Fine Spirits Sommeliers and President of the German Beer Consumers Union (GBCU).In 2017, I was voted one of the most important beer personalities in Germany, and since 2018 I have been sharing my knowledge as a lecturer at the Genussakademie Bayern. My life's work is building bridges between tradition and innovation in beer culture, always with the aim of sharing knowledge and igniting a passion for good beer.
