I have been a Combat Videographer in the Marine Corps for my entire career as a Marine. I've traveled the Asian Pacific on U.S. Carriers to multiple countries. I always been in leadership position, giving direction to my subordinates and keeping my peers current with the annual advancements in video technology.

Okinawa, Japan

I was a Combat Videographer station in Okinawa, Japan from 2006 to 2012 where I traveled to South Korea, Australia, Cambodia, Japan, Philippine islands, and Thailand. During my tour in Japan I continuously shot video, captured audio, transmitted video footage, and archived my shop's daily imagery. I served in positions such as the Video Chief and Imagery Management Chief for the Combat Camera Center.

As a Video Production & Documentation Instructor James is responsible for teaching the Department of Defenses military and civilian videographers the basics in video editing, shooting, audio production, lighting, script writing, and the fundamentals of capturing imagery for Electronic News Gathering and Electronic Field Productions.
