Willis Towers Watson Individual Marketplace service line provides employers with benefit and administration solutions both in the IFP (Pre-Medicare) and Medicare segments.I function as the architect and technical lead on a fully autonomous (to a reasonable level), fully cross-functional team. Currently expanding on the success of an incremental transition from a monolith legacy application into micro front and back-end services. I participated as one of the key contributors in leading the architecture and implementation of this incremental transition from conception, general release, to (now present) continuous feature delivery.Favor domain and event driven design, focusing on automated test coverage through a continuous integration and delivery pipeline (GitHub Actions).In my previous position at WTW, we organized the teams into business units that better modeled our domains and bounded contexts, following Conway's Law. From this point we have been able to carve out (incrementally) micro front-ends that are composed into a single user experience. Each micro front-end resides within its own bounded context, its own services and data stores. Each team owns a full vertical slice of these bounded contexts, from infrastructure (Azure via Terraform) and monitoring (SumoLogic + AppInsights) to backend-end for front-ends (.Net) to front-end UI (React).To enable such collaboration between vertical sliced teams, a context map of our entire business organization is organically constructed. Each team owns a subset of these bounded contexts. From Conway's law, the organization mimics that of our architecture boundaries.

AdvancedMD provides Practice Management and Electronic Health Record (EHR) software for the medical industry. Worked on a team as both a full-stack software engineer and scrum master. Technology stack consists of TSQL, C# .Net middle-tier microservices and front end JavaScript, CSS and Html held together with AngularJs.Projects included (see project section for details):- Realtime Claim Status: utilized a queuing architecture and a user interface in delivering realtime 277 EDI responses in a user friendly format to our billers.- Integration with Medical Coding Services: provided integration with 3rd party coding services allowing the biller to request assistance on specific patient visits.- Browser Agnostic: rewriting the front end application in AngularJs and Bootstrap. Broken up into phases. First phase that we have completed is the login Spa, followed by a migration from the legacy to the new. Setting the foundation framework for the future moving forward.- UX/Front End Steering Committee: part of a committee that determines the best practices and potential solutions to our new front end designs, patterns and workflows.

ISI provides HR, payroll, benefits, and other business management services. I managed a team of software developers and IT technicians. As the main architect and programmer, I developed a .Net client portal that integrated with a PEO management software system utilizing n-tier applications on Windows based technologies. Development included online digital signed paperwork, form creation, new hire processing, custom reporting, employee management workflow processes and employee benefit enrollment. These services communicated with other 3rd party software packages delivering a seamless integration for our clients. I also managed and delegated all server and network infrastructure implementation and maintenance. Through new technologies, I had advanced the company’s productivity, organization and service quality while enhancing our client’s overall experience.Projects included (see project section for details):- New Hire Paperwork Enrollment System: a SaaS solution that offered electronic enrollment for companies who use PEO as their primary billing services. Coded in .Net MVC and TSQL.- Payroll Processor Wizard: payroll processing wizard that parsed submitted payroll, applied client specific calculations and then imported them into a PEO payroll system saving payroll techs. large amount of time.
