Getting customers. Learning how to conduct tours.I even did a diploma in tourism to get a license from the government.Once again, the struggle was making people believe I wanted them to have a beautiful experience on the trips and not just rip them off their hard-earned money.You need to understand what makes a customer go, “Aha! I want to book this trip,” what concerns hold them back, and what makes them resonate with your offer.Next, you need to address their concerns, speak to their desires, and gain their trust.That’s exactly what you need to do with your customers.You must speak their language.Address their fears.Earn their trust.Then and only then will they do business with you.The right strategy and understanding buyer psychology take you far.

Running an e-magazine is a thankless job.You convince writers to submit their pieces.Learn how to edit.Promote the magazine.And you never get paid for it.Yet I wanted to run one.Because I wanted to offer youngsters like me a platform to showcase their talent.Something I never had.Within 7 months, The Youth Chronicles started doing media partnerships with IITs, IIMs, and engineering colleges including Symbiosis, BITS Pilani, St. Xavier’s, VIT, and MIT Pune.Now-famous YouTubers Prajakta Koli and Bhuvan Bam gave interviews in the magazine.I was featured on Entrepreneurs Today.All through creating content on social media and knowing which strings to pull to make the audience come for more.Unfortunately, in 2020, someone hacked The Youth Chronicles website and deleted it.But someday I’ll return to this project of mine and relaunch it.Because you should never give up on your dreams, right?

Our worst moments often lead us to the best things in our lives.That’s the best I can describe my time here.I went to the interview for the position of a content writer but the founding members said they only have the vacancy for a social media manager.Back then I had no idea about social media.They promised to train me for the job but eventually did nothing.I had to work on Sundays. On public holidays. On days when I was sick.Bottom line: it was a living hell.But there was a silver lining.I fell in love with social media.I decided I’ll open my own agency in future.I started going to each department and learnt how things work in that specific department.Website design. Content writing. SEO.Why?I knew if I wanted to launch my own agency, I needed to learn bits and pieces of each department.The job was a nightmare, but without the learnings I picked up here, I wouldn’t be able to do it.
