A prominent family hailing from the desert town of Bikaner in the state of Rajasthan inherited vast treasure of recipes for traditional Indian mithais, namkeens, and spices developed and perfected by their forefathers over several years. In 1950 few of the family members moved to Delhi and opened a mithai shop in Chandni Chowk. A young Shyam Sundar Agarwal came to Delhi in a year1968 and started expanding the footprint by opening new mithai shops. Today there are about 100 Bikanervala mithai shops dotted across Delhi, NCR, and the rest of India and some even in selected International locations.
