A clinician and administrator with an evidence-based, protocolized, and process-driven approach towards clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.Over 20 years of anaesthesia and critical care practice involving more than 10,000 cases including adult, pediatric and neonatal elective and emergency cardiothoracic and vascular surgical cases, robotic cardiac surgery, 30 heart transplants, LVADs, Shock team, and ECMO.Over the last decade, I have stepped into a strategic leadership role steering high-end programs including Multi-organ transplant services, greenfield projects offering advanced heart failure management services, setting up adult and pediatric cardiac surgical ICUs, ECMO, Shock teams, Heart transplant programs, and Transplant ICUs in multiple hospitals.My significant contribution to the organization lies in building strong teams with diverse social, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds. I have led the process of accreditation - NABH accreditation & re-accreditation in multiple hospitals in Tier-1 & Tier-2 cities as well as JCI accreditation for Multiorgan Transplant Programs and Operation Theatre services.I am actively involved in training and knowledge/ experience sharing with students and peers for continuous professional development. I am a faculty and examiner in cardiac anaesthesia and have started fellowship programs in Cardiac anesthesia. As the Dean of Academics, I have led the restructuring and streamlining of the DNB program for various specialties for a renowned group of hospitals.My contributions in cost restructuring, resource optimization, removal of system redundancy, training of personnel, and strict implementation of SOPs have resulted in significant improvement in clinical outcomes, reduction in staff requirement, and increase in patient footfalls ultimately leading to an increase in top line and EBITDA. A formal training in Advanced Management in Healthcare from the Indian School of Business (ISB) has further refined my approach in these areas.
