Tasks & Responsibilities Were: Ensured timely processing of transportation service provider invoices in accordance with service provider agreements and corporate payment procedures. Inspect goods to be delivered to ensure that they are in the right quantity and quality. Supervise the loading of such goods into vehicles for delivery. Liaise with transportation companies to create a good working relationship. I have given directions and guidelines to shipping agents about the nature of goods and delivery locations, and maintain communication with them to ensure that goods are not damaged in transit. Prepare invoices for orders and deliveries as part of record-keeping measures and evidence of transactions. Evaluate transportation costs and other expenses and verify that they are not more than the amount charged to clients, to ensure that a positive account balance is left at the end of every transaction. Keep records of all shipping activities, documenting procedures, guidelines, and changes in procedures for reference purposes. Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements. Efficiently handled wide-ranging accounts including receipts, cost, funding, spending, stock levels, customer relations, vendor relations, budget inventory, and procurement of supplies and equipment. Consistently met delivery requirements of the Operations Department while evaluating & consolidating shipments and selecting the most cost-effective method of transportation. Closely collaborated with involved individuals regarding physical inventories and properly documented information using ERP/REVENUE accounting systems to guarantee accuracy in the accounts.
