Engaged by Corventis -- a global innovator in wireless cardiovascular solutions -- to lead an Object Partners team in stabilizing and preparing for product launch the software behind the company's wireless patient monitoring device (the PiiX). Lead a team of 5 developers and 1 BA from OPI, and incorporated various other resources from within Corventis as well. The inherited system was a complex architecture, incorporating messaging, webservices, LDAP-based security, and several application and database tiers. Improvements and stabilizations were performed in all layers of the system, including PiiX binary file conversion, data interpretation/massaging (applying multiple algorithms), patient vitals visualization/charting, and ERP system integration. The OPI team streamlined many aspects of the existing architecture, code base, source-control, and processes while also meeting aggressive deadlines for new functionality in a highly dynamic business environment.Technologies and frameworks used included Java (JDK 1.5), Spring, Hibernate, Mule, JFreeChart, MySQL 5.1, Maven, Sun DSEE, Subversion, Hudson.

Served as lead developer for a team of 10 developers, responsible for developing web applications for Carol.com.* Took part in the ground-up design and implementation of the initial Carol.com web application.* Led the re-design of the Flex client-side application architecture for the completely revamped Carol.com during the summer of 2008.* Continually worked with developers, business owners, and QA resources to design, refine, and improve the software across all product offerings.Carol worked under an Agile methodology using emerging technologies like Groovy/Grails and Adobe Flex/ActionScript, as well as established tools like Tomcat and HTML/JavaScript/AJAX.
