My sales career started at my father’s small textile shop in Istanbul. I was just 14 years old, and I loved to be at work on my summer vacations to interact with people. This was the same period that I started to learn English at school. This gave me an opportunity to communicate with foreign customers which most of the employees couldn’t do on that time. Language was my first differentiator. I realized that if I want to be successful, I need to add more differentiators to myself.Late 2000’s I was in high school and technology especially electronic products was booming. Thus I decided to be electronics engineer to build a base for my career. When I graduated from university, I was pretty sure what my plan is. I would go to US and a get a marketing degree to walk on my sales career path. I completed 9 month’s marketing program at UCSD and found a chance to complete an internship at Merrill Lynch marketing department. I turned back to my country to complete my mandatory military service. As a young graduate I was checking LinkedIn and other job postings on web. This was the first time that I met with EEC and AVEKA. After working almost 4 years in AVEKA (electronic security distributor), I realized electronic security market business flow as.Vendor -> Distributor -> Integrator -> Contractor -> End UserI had only worked for a local distributor thus I decided to work on other levels of the market to understand the whole structure. And I started to focus more life safety esspecially fire alarm systems. I worked for Honeywell Building Solution a global integrator, Traka a global Vendor located in UK, Anixter a global distributor. I started my second phase of my career at AVEKA as Sales and Marketing Manager. After successful 4 years growth I promote to General Manager. As a General Manager my dream is to convert AVEKA from a standard electronic security distributor to Value Added Distributor. AVEKA will help end user companies to protect their facilities and provide sustainability to their business. With my competent background about fire alarm, my priority is to raise awareness about fire and life safety protection. Since I know I just can’t do it by myself I support my colleagues and solution partners and help improve themselves. I belive we are not just protecting buildings. We protect people, brands and their business. Please feel free to contact me via LinkedIn. I am always open to support people and companies about fire alarm and life safety systems. I am a coffee guy. I can always make time for a coffee talk!
