Assumed responsibility as Cash Product Direct over the Charlotte, Richmond and Baltimore offices. Provided product management and operating performance leadership to three major Currency and Coin distribution and processing operations with more than 150 employees, $25 million in operating expenses and three billion banknotes processed annually. Turned around underperforming operations through successful implementation of process improvements, cost and staff reductions, and management reorganization. Provided technical and project management expertise to multi-year, multi-site, $50 million software development and technology platform migration. Established a Payments Research Function and created regional Payments Advisory Councils consisting of large consumer payments businesses (e.g. Lowes, Family Dollar, Jos. A. Banks, etc.) resulting in improved strategic planning efforts and consumer payment industry research (Credit and Debit Cards/ Mobile Payments, etc.). Led corporate initiative to standardize software operated by five sites and consolidate data centers into one regional processing site resulting in multi-million-dollar savings and efficiency improvements. Led several national initiatives to standardize Payments software and hardware platforms in 49 processing locations leading to major cost reductions, processing efficiencies, and customer service improvements. Increased payments revenues on an annual basis from 6-10% through innovative product development initiatives and pricing maximization strategies. As Director of IT – Payments, led development of a $20 million, multi-year, multi-office implementation of a payments software development project using SDLC methodologies including Waterfall, JAD/RAD, and Agile development processes
