Bill performs as an integral Subject Matter Expert and Solutions Architect developing many of the customized straight through processing commodity business solutions for OpenLink’s marquee energy clients and has successfully implemented OpenLink's Endur across a variety of markets, including Natural Gas, Crude and Refined Products, Power, F/X and Interest Rate derivatives. Bill oversees the Endur “Best Practice” configurations and associated standardized documentation packages to future proof client installations and to streamline the implementation process for the OpenLink Americas Energy Division. Bill was responsible for managing the company’s liquidity and maintaining appropriate short/long term cash reserves. He introduced initiatives that better aligned budgeting and forecasting processes within management objectives. He established risk management guidelines for insurance-related activities, lowered working capital requirements 5 percent and increased interest income by 10 percent by improving the accuracy of cash flow forecasts. He improved cash management operations by evaluating new bank relationships, negotiating lower fee schedules, implementing a Treasury Workstation Platform and significantly reduced time to prepare monthly cash journal entries by developing an automated interface with the general ledger. Bill also supported the investment committee in managing a $130 million portfolio by monitoring performance against established benchmarks.

Bill supervised treasury operations, including bank relationships, developed alternative financing and insurance risk management strategies and implemented stringent cash flow management techniques leading to a 50+ percent reduction in outstanding receivables. He successfully negotiated a $300 million revolving credit facility, including the establishment of flexible covenants to facilitate compliance. Bill also advised the fiduciary committee on investment alternatives for the employee retirement plan.
