Bill has spent a lifetime in the entertainment business – producing, writing and directing shows in Europe, North America, and The Caribbean. In various capacities, Bill has presented productions as diverse as the Wiener Staatsoper (The Vienna State Opera) – the RCMP Centennial Salute - a spectacular multi media Millennium Fireworks Salute in Cabos San Lucas, and of course thirty two years as Writer, Producer, Director of the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show among many others.Bill “inherited” both the Grandstand Show and The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede from his father Randy Avery who conceived of both of these internationally reputed institutions. Bill’s dedication and support of new rising talent comes from years devoted to the teaching of young artists through the programs of The Young Canadians.

  Conceive, Direct and Produce a show that would sell approximately 18,000 tickets per night - developing a Brand and satisfying the entertainment needs of a diverse audience fromaround the world. Ticket pricess ranged fron $65.00 to $300.00. This required putting a teamof some 300 people to procduce the show. Additionally, I was responsible for a performing arts school that trained young artists on a scholarship basis. The school had a large staff and taught various classes six dayus a week.
