As a Software Technical Fellow at Boeing, I've consistently demonstrated real-world results by envisioning, inventing, developing, applying, teaching, and mentoring cutting-edge distributed systems, real-time object oriented software, Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) simulations, knowledge graphs, enterprise architectures, and data engineering technologies in distributed digital thread enabled environments for many aerospace, defense, security, and health related solutions.I'm currently Chief Architect for the Product Knowledge Framework (PKF), an emerging international standard for disruptive transparency, digital transformation, and trusted integrations of digital systems, software, models, simulations, and semantically rich data across the full product lifecycle. The PKF applies digital thread knowledge driven technologies to enable breakthrough Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA) solutions and support services for Digital Systems, Threads, Standards, and Twins.I've served as Co-Chair of the Object Management Group (OMG) Manufacturing Technology and Industrial Systems (ManTIS) Task Force and as a member of OMG's Architecture Standards Board (AB), driving alignment and integration with Digital Twin Consortium (DTC) architecture and standards. I have been actively involved with the development and application of the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), as well as the application of the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and TOGAF/ADM.I've pioneered & patented several innovative technologies & methods consistently driving and applying the state of the art forward in Model Based Engineering (MBE) as well as LVC Simulation, Virtual, Augmented, Immersive, and Collaborative Reality, Embedded Real-Time Software, and Complex/Adaptive Systems Integration, giving a talk on AR at the Royal Aeronautical Society.I've published, presented, and patented on multiple topics ranging from latency compensation for remotely collaborative/piloted vehicles to Interoperable Healthcare Systems, to Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Model Based Enterprise Engineering (MBEE), and Product Knowledge Frameworks (PKF).I am passionate about continuously advancing the state of the art and impact of applied engineering through involvement in forums such as the Frontiers of Engineering (FoE) at the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), and relentlessly adding value and safety for stakeholders, customers, and consumers, most recently by developing semantic technologies and standards that enable value creation from AI/LLM in a Model Based Engineering ecosystem.
