I have over 20 years of experience as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and database programmer and analyst, with extensive training and experience with the ESRI ArcGIS suite of applications going back to ArcView and good-old command-line ArcInfo. I have also developed mapping applications using the Google Maps JavaScript API.I have created customized Web-based interactive mapping applications using ArcIMS and ArcGIS Server and customized desktop interactive mapping applications using the ArcObjects, MapObjects and Avenue APIs. I am an accomplished desktop and web programmer with experience using C#, Visual Basic (VB6 and VB.Net), Java and JSP, ASP, and JavaScript. More recently I have begun developing apps for the Android platform, and participated in the design of apps for the Apple IOS platform.I am trained and experienced in designing for and using relational database management systems, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite and Microsoft Access. I have also designed spatial data models and managed spatial data using ArcSDE and personal geodatabases, as well as using geography and geometry data types in SQL Server.I have been the manager of several large, multi-year application development projects, from the early conceptual phases, through needs assessment, design, development, testing and support.
