• Auditing all charges and postings and correcting work as necessary. • Reconciling daily activity and closing all accounts in preparation for the new business day. • Processing, formatting and distributing daily reports. • Checking guests in and out of the hotel in a efficient, courteous and professional manner. • Processing all payments according to hotel requirements. • Interacting with hotel associates in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information. • Managing and resolving all guest complaints and compliments in a professional and courteous manner. • Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue • Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures including but not limited to posting all charges, completing cashier or other reports, preparing deposit and counting/securing assigned bank Assist with Front Desk Representatives with cash handling issues i.e. finding bank/drop shortages, counting/witnessing Desk Agents banks/drops to ensure they balance at the end of each shift, • Perform check-in and check-out of guests • Promote hotel services, facilities and outlets; provide guests with information such as local attractions and directions to increase guest satisfaction • Run, analyze, and follow-up on front desk reports as directed • Complete opening and closing shift duties, and communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up • Direct bell staff to assist guests and enhance the guest service experience • Respond appropriately to guest complaints. Make appropriate service recovery gestures in accordance with established guidelines • Communicate with other departments to provide superior guest service and promote teamwork • Perform other traditional front desk clerk duties as assigned or directed • Operate switchboard as assigned or directed
