Developed and implemented automated trading systems to trade equities, options, futures, and other financial instruments. While maintaining and using these systems in-house for profit, wrote various solutions for clients to query financial data and manage trades per their particular trading algorithms. Full stack solutions were written in Java, JavaScript, C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, CGI/PHP scripts, and Python on Unix and Windows platforms.

Lead developer of workflow/BPM solutions for ChartMaxx, an Enterprise Content Management solution for hospitals and integrated delivery systems throughout North America. Led and participated in vital projects to extend and enhance our product with features such as the following: reporting integration with Cognos Report Writer, improved security at chart-level, customized form-based capture of discrete data, automated document distribution. Provided significant input into improving software development processes as teams moved to a more formal SDLC RUP model.

Managed a team of skilled engineers on the ChartMaxx ECM product while continuing to design and implement solutions as a peer developer. Team ranged in size from ten to fifteen developers while product and customer base grew significantly during this time. Frequently presented product and upcoming features to customers at tradeshows, user group meetings, training classes, and WebEx demonstrations. Worked with all departments to reach the highest levels of customer satisfaction for the ChartMaxx product, and begin a streak of consistently achieving the highest product rating in its category as designated by the KLAS annual surveys.

Led UI team to produce a complete suite of client applications, Windows and web, for the ChartMaxx product. In addition, integrated a complete workflow subsystem into ChartMaxx to automate and track the daily tasks at various departments in a hospital, including medical record and business office departments. Also designed and implemented a unique homegrown reporting component that allowed end-users to create RTF templates with markup instructions that would be generated for later viewing and automatically placed inside patient charts.

Developed components in all areas of the Cincron cell controller product, a Unix-based suite of applications to manage in real-time a set of machine tool hardware grouped together to complete work orders. Applications were written in C++ and modeled after the machining components. Coordinated and performed migration of entire product from DEC Ultrix and DECWindows to DEC OSF/1 (DEC Unix) and XWindows/Motif. Wrote user interface standards based on end-user human factors and re-designed user interface screens for compliance. Constructed extensive set of shell scripts to allow users to completely configure product for a Unix server and Oracle database.
