In retirement I've done Legal Expert Consulting for ExxonMobil Upstream Research Co. I've also started the Walloon17 Foundation, obtained 501c3 status and co authored a book Seventeens of Walloon Lake. I'm also an active volunteer with Citizens' Climate Education & Lobby, starting a Chapter in The Woodlands Texas and growing membership to over 800 in 4 years. I'm also the Co Lead for CCL's Team Oil and started CCL's Presbyterian Action Team. At the Presbyterian General Assembly 223 of 2018 I was the Overture Advocate for the Carbon Pricing Overture, which passed with over 80% of the vote.During my career with Exxon I worked in all technical sectors of Tankers; R&D, Design, Construction and Operations in the 1st half of my Career, rising to Repair & Technical Manager for Exxon/Esso's International Tanker Fleet.Moved into the Upstream and was the lead Marine Designer for 3 world class FPSO hulls: Kizomba A & B, and Erha, among many other projects.I was also Deputy Project Manager for ExxonMobil & QatarGas's QFlex and QMax LNG Carrier project. This was the largest commercial shipbuilding program in the world outside of wartime. These ships reduced energy consumption by 30% and 35% percent from previous vessel designs.I was the Marine Manager in EM Production Co's Global Operations Technical Services group, leading a small highly experienced team providing trouble shooting and technical standards for EM's world wide marine equipment that produced about 1/3 of EM's total oil production.
