Start up and Commissioning lead for the Boilers, Steam systems, BFW, and Condensate systems on the Fort Hills Project

Working with the early project development teams on multiple projects to aid in design, and execution plans for projects prior to IFC release.

In this role, I was part of a team that led in the final design review, and lead the construction team in the field. I also assisted in the development of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, reviewed scoped systems via PID’s and mentored new staff members

I was an Operations Team Leader within the Utilities department. The role involved ensuring that the Utilities area was run in a safe and reliable manner. I was responsible for supervising a team of Operations, and Maintenance personnel. We were tasked with maintaining all winterization equipment for Utilities division. We were also were the fast response team to assist in the repair, and recommissioning of equipment from unplanned outages. I was also responsible for the teams training, and ensuring there competency for thier tasks.

My role was to coordinate Turnover activities within the CSU group. Through daily scheduling, planning, walkdown package development, package reviews construction walkdowns, and the ensuing punchlists, we ensured all field construction issues were rectified prior to start up.

From Feb 2003 to June 2006, I was the Utilities Tie-ins coordinator during UE-1. All 280 tie-ins, involving 82 Hot Taps were completed safely, on schedule, and with no downgrading incidentsFrom June 1999 until January 2003, I was involved in the startup and ongoing operation in the Utilities Department at the Aurora Mine Project. Equipment operations included an 80 MW gas turbine generator, a Heat Recovery Hot Water Generator (HRHWG), a Once Through Steam Generator (OTSG), Water Treatment Plant, assorted pumps and auxiliaries and a Honeywell Control System.From July 1990 until June 1999, I was working in the Utilities Department, Main Plant. I was responsible for the operation of the steam generators, gas turbine generators, boilers, pumps and auxiliaries, in the field as well as the control panel.
