Bill Colburn has over thirty years of experience serving as CFO and CEO of both private and public companies of various sizes. A nationally recognized “turn-around” expert; he successfully re-engineered the largest nursing home in Michigan and lead the efforts to avoid bankruptcy and restore profitability for five other national companies. In 2001 he launched Core Business Solutions, a consulting practice specializing in capital procurement and back-office operations. Mr. Colburn is the founder and creator of Simplified Costing Systems, a company specializing in cost allocation software. Since 2002 Mr. Colburn has consulted for several boutique private equity firms providing balance sheet restructuring strategies and executive level management for client companies. In 2008 he served as CFO for a single wealthy family and has served as CFO for a public company selling to the federal government. In 2009 Mr. Colburn started GovFunding LLC designed to provide structured finance products in support of federal government contracts. Govfunding LLC has, since inception, facilitated over $60M in business for its client companies. In addition, Mr. Colburn owns several other related entities specializing in selling to governments and is the founder and Chairman of the Innovative Learning Center, a distance learning technology company.
