CounselLink is a full-service legal spending and matter management tool for in-house legal counsel.During my time at LexisNexis, I was responsible for building a SQL package to migrate data for LexisNexis's customers from their legacy product - LegalPrecision - to CounselLink. This package mapped thousands of data fields between the products to ensure that the customer experienced no loss of data or functionality during their upgrade. The result was that LexisNexis was able to promise their customers that they could make the upgrade without worry, performing the migration overnight.Additionally, I assisted in the maintenance of LexisNexis's near-real-time ETL process from a transactional Sybase ASE server to a reporting database in Sybase IQ. The process leveraged the bcp utility command-line tool to refresh data between the two environments every 2 minutes to enable reports to display current data. My other responsibility in this role was to monitor transactional stored procedure run times and optimize any procedures where users were experiencing abnormal page return times.
