Served as the lead for the Center in the work with the Tackling Transfer and Texas Transfer Alliance initiatives. Tackling Transfer is a partnership between the Dana Center and three national partners, the Aspen Institute, SOVA and HCM Strategies, to improve successful student transfer and completion between institutions of higher education in Texas. The national partners are doing similar work in Virginia and Minnesota.The Texas Transfer Alliance is working on transfer in Texas Higher Education in conjunction with the Tackling Transfer project. Led by the Dana Center and guided by a board made up of the Vice Chancellors for Academic Affairs at the Texas, Texas State, North Texas and Texas A&M systems along with the Texas Association of Community Colleges the Alliance seeks to improve transfer and related issues at their member institutions.The Dana Center facilitates the two initiatives working together and presents a seamless face of transfer work to all of higher education in Texas.Additionally, I facilitate regional and national workshops addressing the leadership challenges faced when implementing institutional and curricular change particularly focused on co-requisite remediation and mathematics pathways.
