Provided a wide range of services to veterans and active duty members under the Chapter 31 program, Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment. This included performing the initial evaluation, transferable work skills analysis, employability assessment, and administration / interpretation of vocational testing. Administered and interpreted employment assessments. Performed entitlement determinations, rehabilitation planning, problem-solving counseling, adjustment counseling and case documentation. Facilitated over 500 group meetings that focused on developing a realistic job goal, identifying job search techniques and resume writing skills for more than 8000 veterans/active duty members over 15 years. Briefed more than 1000 active duty members separating from Okinawa, Japan over 5 months providing them with information on all Veterans Administration programs and benefits. • Conducted over 30 group presentations in auditoriums providing information about the Post 911 GI Education Program resulting in 9000+ active duty members understanding the benefit. Presented over 120 Disabled Transition Assistance Program (DTAP) briefs over 10 years providing information to more than 4000 active duty members. Received numerous monetary and other awards for superior performance. This included: Moments of Excellence Award from Marine Corps Community Services Camp Smedley D. Butler, Certificate of Appreciation from 1st Special Forces Group US Army and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Personal Services Director, Marine Corps Community Services Camp Smedley D. Butler.
