Guided the strategic planning, development and implementation of global manufacturing and supply chain programs including new technologies and best practices to meet cost, flexibility and quality requirements. Managed 150 people in four groups responsible for the support of international manufacturing operations including: OEM/ODM Management, Global Engineering, Manufacturing Systems and New Product development and validation.• Managed the implementation of a “Direct Ship” fulfillment process to allow 3rd party Taiwanese notebook computer supplier to take individual configure-to-order (CTO) customer orders and build and ship directly to the customer. This generates savings of $35 per system shipped ($12M annually) and reduced inventory and Gateway manufacturing capacity requirements.• Developed and managed a supplier management process to provide daily management of 3rd party operations reducing delivery cycle times by 50% and increased on time deliveries from 60% to 95%. • Developed and managed the closure of a Server manufacturing site consolidating the operations into other existing facilities to generate savings of over $100 per system.• Organized product/brand management groups, which consisted of cross-functional teams that took responsibility for products from product concept, development, production support and end-of-life management. This resulted in an improvement of on time development schedules from 50% to 90%, a 33% reduction in initial quality issues and significant EOL material cost savings.

Responsible for leading the manufacturing operations for Toshiba’s North American Desktop and Server product lines as part of Toshiba’s Computer Systems group which generated over $2.5 billion in annual sales. Managed multiple manufacturing facilities both internal and with contract manufacturers with over $150 million in spend each month. Responsibilities included managing all production, purchasing, engineering, quality and materials functions as well as new product coordination. • Led Operations as part of team that developed Toshiba’s Desktop and Server business to compliment the existing notebook business to become a full service hardware supplier. This included the business plan development, product roadmap development, product design reviews, manufacturing outsourcing alternatives, component/vendor selections and manufacturing and fulfillment set up within six months of the business plan approval. • Negotiated with contract manufacturer (SCI) a worldwide turnkey Build to Order desktop assembly contract that was the largest contract ever completed at Toshiba America and minimized Toshiba’s infrastructure investment and reduced the desktop product launch schedule by six months.• Established Supply Chain Management organization to support Desktop and Server procurement activities and established the first ever JIT computer supplier agreements for Toshiba. • Led Operations group that worked with Sales, Marketing and Engineering to form brand teams to develop short and long term strategies and implementing programs to meet very dynamic market requirements such as Custom Configuration Services Program, Corporate and Public Direct Sales, Co-Branding channel partnerships and the People PC free PC program.
