As with many in this industry, AV wasn’t something I intentionally sought out, it was something I fell into. About a month before I graduated college as an Electrical Engineer, I was about to take a position as an estimator for an Electrical Contractor. I’m sure I would have enjoyed this work on some level, but it really didn’t speak to me. Luckily, before I accepted this offer a friend connected me with RoomReady (Zeller Digital Innovations back then) for an interview. After I met with Aaron and Jay McArdle, it became abundantly clear that AV was where I belonged. I remember being excited about the tech and the possibilities, and I’ve been learning and growing with the company ever since. When I started with RoomReady we were a young company with a start-up feel, and just entering the realm of commercial AV. We were a hard-working group, always willing to do what it takes to get the job done and deliver for our clients. I’ve worked for the company in many different capacities, as is often required with a small company; from Purchasing to Operations to Project Management to Engineering and now as an Account Executive. After well over a decade, I can honestly say that I’ve been extremely fortunate to work in such an amazing industry and for the best company in it. As we’ve expanded, the culture and work ethic have not changed, we are just able to serve more clients and deliver more exceptional solutions. In all my roles with RoomReady my goal has been the same, to provide the best solution possible for a client and create a positive experience from start to finish. My transition to an Account Executive just moves me closer to the client, helping them understand the technology and what is possible. Solving problems for clients and making the impossible happen is just what we do around here, and I’m awfully proud to be part of it! My Engineering background allows me to provide clients with strategic guidance and recommendations to achieve their business outcomes. I have extensive experience helping clients establish standards across their organization while streamlining the purchasing process using customized room menus.
