The Chairman of the Board represents the entire membership and the best interests of the organization. Exercises personal leadership in the motivation of other officers, board members, committee members, staff, and membership. Influences the establishment of goals and objectives for the organization during his term of office. Acts as spokesman and inspirational leader and takes an important part in monitoring and evaluating organizational performance and effectiveness. Works in partnership with the President of the Association as necessary.

Responsible for providing senior leadership to Maryland Paving, Inc. Member of senior management team. Officer of the company and member of the Board of Directors.Builds and manages a leadership system that focuses on the achievement of corporate objectivies,promotes initiative and self-directed responsibility,developes/promotes full potential of work force; fosters flexibilty and rapid response,promotes managers to work in harmony and to meet needs of customers,evaluates employee performance and compensates accordingly,assures suppliers meet company performance requirements,promotes continuous improvement in product and process quality;seeks feedback from direct reports and takes steps to provide guidence and direction to MPI plant and field leadership;direct and coordinate overall activities of field and office operations;participate in establishing goals and objectivies;regulary vist manufacturing plants to have a pulse on operations;promote a saftey conscious culture.
