Supported CEO, Executive and Board of Australia’s fourth-largest telco in delivering an ambitious 3-year turnaround, rebuilding the company’s culture, strategy and value.Drawing on expertise in corporate finance, I also led/supported a number of high-profile transactions, including the acquisition of Vocus by Macquarie Infrastructure and Aware Super and the IPO of the New Zealand business.

Strategic leadership role reporting to the CEO of the newly formed NSW Property and Advisory Group, helping to improve the management, utilisation, and efficiency of the NSW Government’s $165bn real estate portfolio. Set the strategic direction for the new organisation, shaping advice for various government departments on long term portfolio planning, accommodation strategy, policy and collaborative initiatives.Led a team of 30 spanning strategy, policy, project management office and ministerial and executive services. Built and managed relationships with external stakeholders across Government including Ministers, department secretaries, deputy secretaries and their teams.Key initiatives included a reset of the Enterprise Project Management Office, the development of a whole of government office accommodation strategy and exploring opportunities in the build to rent sector in NSW. Championing inclusive collaboration, I was also proud to create a culture of equitable performance management, employee voice and professional development that strengthened engagement levels.

Following the demerger of Recall (ASX100, ~$2bln rev, $360m EBITDA, operations in 23 countries) from Brambles (ASX20), I was engaged to develop and implement a new investor relations strategy, changing investor expectations of Recall from a low growth, high cash generating, high yielding business to a business generating double digit revenue growth and earnings leverage.A trusted counsel to C-suite stakeholders and the global investor base during Recalls journey as an independent, listed company, I also led the communication strategy during an 18-month defence following an offer by Iron Mountain, Recall’s largest global competitor. Received Cole’s 2015 Corporate Award for Best Clarity of Strategy for ASX100 Industrial company.
