Bill is retiring after having spent a professional lifetime in economic development. While he has contributed to the success of many major projects employing hundreds of people, he’s equally interested in smaller companies and small town development opportunities. Bill’s most recent affiliation with the Kansas Department of Commerce was particularly rewarding, given strong support from agency staff as well as the state’s local and regional economic developers. While with Kansas, Bill assisted on projects generating over 21,000 jobs and over $1.75 billion in investment, including such companies as Mars, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, United HealthCare, FedEx, and T-Mobile.Previously, Bill's 26 year career with New York's economic development agencies culminated with ten years as Director of Regional Economic Development. His Division delivered the full spectrum of State economic development services to existing firms and new businesses.Bill is a past president of the National Association of State Development Agencies and served on their Board of Governors for ten years. He has spoken at a number of professional seminars throughout the nation, and taught at the New York Basic Economic Development Course for over 25 years.Specialties: Prospect development and management, outreach marketing, incentive package development
